EWE, RWE and Vattenfall agreed to sell all of their shares in alpha ventus, Germany's first offshore wind farm (60 MW, operating since 2010), to Ocean Breeze Energy, the owner and operator of the neighbouring BARD Offshore 1 farm, which is wholly owned by funds managed by Macquarie Asset Management. Ocean Breeze Energy plans to keep the farm running beyond its planned 20-year life. Completion was expected in the fourth quarter of 2026; at the time of writing the sale had not completed. Terms were not disclosed.

Revenue & offtake the regime the project was built under
Offtake regime on record
RegimeThe farm company's FY2011 accounts state that its revenue came from the EEG tariff paid for the turbines, that the October 2008 EEG amendment raised the offshore basic tariff from 9.0 to 15.0 ct/kWh from 1 January 2009, and that from 2012 the company could use direct marketing. By March 2025 the farm was still entitled to the EEG basic remuneration of 3.9 ct/kWh (Offshore Wind Biz).

A built project sells its power under the contract or support regime it was financed with; it is not expected to bid into new government offtake rounds. Where the record does not yet name that regime, the row says so rather than guessing.
